Education and Quran Program Details
The primary purpose of the Noor Al-Quran school at ICL is to provide a safe Islamic environment for students where they can develop intellectually and grow in their knowledge and love of Islam. Suggested statement: After nine years, we believe that we have laid the foundation to fulfill our mission by providing an educational institution in which the facility, teaching staff and curriculum equal and/or excel other schools both Islamic and secular.
This journey has had its challenges but we achieved many of our goals with the diligence and dedication of the staff and our community, both past and present.
In addition, we are extremely proud that our student body and staff represent a myriad of countries, and we take every opportunity to teach our students that we are Muslims first, united by our religion. We also teach that culture comes second to the religion, and is represented only in the different languages we speak, and the food that we eat — but that in the sight of Allah, we are ONE.
We believe that:

The Mission of the Islamic Center of Laveen (ICL) is to provide high quality Islamic and secular education to its students. Noor Al-Quran's goal is to empower students to become lifelong learners, incorporating Islamic values in a collaborative environment where stakeholders are partners in fostering well-rounded global citizens, prepared to achieve their maximum potential.

In addition to the core classes there is a Salah Program which emphasizes the importance of performing the Salah. The Weekend School strives to ensure that all graduating students at a minimum know the recitation of the Salah and the technical differences between types of Salah. Each student is tested in written form as well as practical to ensure that this vital part of our faith is embedded in the hearts and minds of our current generation and generations yet to come.
Overall, the Weekend School Administration has a vision to build a school where Islam thrives alongside American principles. The Weekend School wishes to teach Islam in its purist form following the Qur’an and the Sunnah disregarding any infusions of culture that may taint the beauty and simplicity of a religion that teaches love, patience and above all tolerance.
A comprehensive after school Islamic education for all ages, keeping your children in touch with the masjid and teaching them how to read the Holy Qur’aan with proper tajweed
At Noor Al-Qur’an Classes your child will learn how to read the Holy Qur’aan with proper tajweed.
In addition, we also have weekly lectures/halaqas to teach Fiqh, Seerah, Duaas, translation of the Qur’aan, Aadaab and Akhlaq (daily social etiquette). Lectures are for all ages and skill levels for girls and boys.
